Kenilworth Multi Academy Trust (KMAT) is looking for a suitably qualified, committed and experienced professional to join the current nine trustees (including the Chair) for its Board.
The Trust was formed in January 2019 and currently has two schools in Kenilworth, Warwickshire and Coventry, West Midlands. One of the schools is consolidating its operations from three legacy school sites in the town of Kenilworth, Warwickshire to one single site by September 2023. Additionally, this will initiate a combined Sixth Form offer to serve Kenilworth and Canley, Coventry. The trust has further plans for expansion and growth over the next couple of years.
The role of a trustee can be challenging, whilst rewarding. It is an opportunity to give back to a community, knowing you are making a difference to standards of education and widening the scope and opportunities for young people.
As a trustee you will serve a four-year term and receive free training and further opportunities for CPD.
Across the board we have a breadth of skills and experience and we are now looking for the following skill-set and experience to complement this:
•Experience of effective contribution to a Finance and or
•Experience of restructures, mergers and acquisitions
•Experience of serving on/chairing not-for-profit or
There are six Board meetings scheduled half-termly, usually during the evening, from approximately 6pm until 8pm. Attendance at the Finance and Audit committees would be in addition to this.
