Assistant Educational Psychologist

Salary:  Assistant Educational Psychologist Scale Point 1 - 4 [£29,239 - £32,950]

 37 Hours per week – fixed term until 31/08/2022

Staffordshire Educational Psychology Service is seeking to recruit an Assistant Educational Psychologist who is planning a future career as an Educational Psychologist. The post is in our Burton district team.

The successful applicant should hold a first degree in psychology or postgraduate equivalent qualification. It would be preferable if the candidate had experience in working with young people in an educational setting. 

A comprehensive programme of induction, supervision and training will be provided offering excellent preparation for applying to professional postgraduate training courses.

The duties of the successful candidate will include:

• Working on support interventions (e.g. Precision Teaching, Accelerated Reading)
• Working with parents and school staff.
• Providing written summaries of work undertaken.
• Undertaking data gathering for the service.

• Collaborative work with other EPs.

• Group work (e.g. Circle of Friends, Lego).
• Undertaking research/ collection of research evidence on given topics.

• Contribution to the development and delivery of training packages (e.g. emotion coaching, attachment).
