Fostering Social Worker

About Us and The Role
Warwickshire has a fantastic fostering team. We recruit foster carers, assess them, take applicants to our virtual fostering panel and offer our Warwickshire foster carers training and support. We also have an SGO (Special Guardianship Order) support team. We are countywide and have links with Fostering Network to support us and our foster carers.
We are fortunate to have a Psychologist who is based in our team and offer fantastic training. Our staff group is made up of fostering support workers and social workers. Our team is generally stable and growing to match the needs of the children in Warwickshire.
For this post we are looking to recruit a Fostering Social Worker. Are you a social worker who is looking for a new role and challenge? Perhaps you are already in a similar role or in safeguarding and thinking about joining a Fostering Service.
Then this could be the job for you. Within Fostering you can still retain links with working directly with children, whist supporting their foster carers. Your work will be child focused, analytical and based on safeguarding evidence.
The role can be diverse and we have a fostering placement hub that adds an extra element to the role. The role of the supervising fostering social worker is specialised and will give the opportunity to right applicant to develop this skill.
We are open to applications wishing to secure a permanent part-time 22.5 hours or a 12 month full fixed term contract.
We would welcome you into a stable team with experienced manager.
This organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.
