Job Title: HR Consultant (Schools),
Salary: £28,749.25 - £30,973.62
Part-Time: 33 hours, Monday to Friday
Location: Worcester (with some travel mainly across Worcestershire)
Contract type: Fixed-term contract 1 year (initially)


Our passion for an intense client-focus and adding value for schools ensures that we deliver an award-winning service and we’d love for you to be part of our busy Consultancy Team, providing a high-quality service to over 200 schools/Academies and Multi Academy Trusts.  

HR Consultant

The successful candidate will be a confident practitioner with significant advisory experience, motivated to work with schools, highly organised, used to working at pace to deadlines and managing high volume casework. You will be the named point of contact for Head Teachers/CEOs; School Business Managers and Governors, so it is important that you are customer focussed and have strong interpersonal skills, providing for effective working relationships with all levels of staff, representatives, managers, head teachers, including partnerships with other agencies/service providers. You will be an effective communicator (orally and in writing, including ability to draft letters/write policies and reports and design/deliver training) adapting style appropriate to the audience. You will be providing robust and timely advice, guidance and support to schools on a full range of employment matters and progressing casework (e.g. conduct, capability, grievance, absence management, redundancy and workforce reorganisation), to deliver a consultancy service which meets defined standards and business needs.
You will need:

•    To have achieved the Level 7 CIPD Diploma in HR or have relevant experience
•    Be willing and able occasionally to work in the evening. 
•    A flexible and resilient approach to work.
•    A personal commitment to continuous professional development.
•    If not term-time only, there may be a requirement for some annual leave to be taken during periods of school closure.
•    The ability to drive and use of a car is essential.
