An exciting 36.5-hour post exists for a Facilities Technician at the Kenrick Centre, a Care Centre managed by Birmingham City Council which provides both long and short-term care for vulnerable adults in a residential setting.
The Centre also consists of other business areas, working in partnership with Health and local community groups.
The Facilities Technician post is an integral part of working to maintain the fabric of the building and outside grounds, ensuring that all statutory checks are completed, and minor repairs made.
The successful candidate should have experience in completing DIY tasks and be able to communicate in a variety of ways with Managers, staff, stakeholders, members of the public and contractors. Good written skills and record keeping is vital to this role.
The normal working hours are between 8am and 3.30pm Monday to Friday but a willingness to be flexible would be required.
