PART-TIME BURSAR 

Salary:  £22,911 – 26,317 per annum (pro rata)

 18.50 Hours per week – Permanent 

The Alders children’s home provides short term care for up to 5 young people aged between 12 and 17 years, who may be admitted in an emergency.

 

 

The purpose of the home is to provide a safe and secure environment that promotes the welfare of looked after children, whilst contributing to the assessment of the young person’s needs.

We are currently recruiting for a Bursar on a permanent part time basis of 18½ hours per week, to support the Registered Manager in the direct provision of all administrative services and systems relevant to the operation of the home.

Skills and experience

This person needs to be a motivated individual who has a history of financial experience along with the skills to manage all aspects of health and safety within a children’s home environment. At least 5 years’ experience of office-based procedures and systems, cash handling and budgeting is essential.  You will also require people skills to manage and supervise a small support staff team. An NVQ Level 4 in Business Administration qualification or equivalent is a requirement and you must possess a Full Driving Licence.
