Relief Caretaker required- ref RT06021
25 hours per week (52 weeks per year)
Grade 5 £10.83 -£12.69 per hour
Actual pro rata salary: £14,123.64 to £16,547.97 per annum
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated Relief Caretaker to join our hard working team. We are seeking a dedicated and proactive person who will take pride in how our schools and Council buildings look and function. The post comprises of 25 hours per week covering flexible shifts from Monday to Saturday with a requirement to work a split shift in term time and to meet the needs of the schools during the school holidays.
Main areas of responsibility are security of the school buildings and grounds, general portage duties, handyperson duties (which may include minor repairs to furniture and fixtures) and minor decorating tasks.
For this role it is essential that you have previous Caretaking or Premise management experience.
The ability to travel around the borough is also required. A full driving licence and use of a vehicle is essential. Casual mileage allowance will be paid.
