Would you like to support and enable our students to achieve their best? Do you want to use your scientific knowledge in a practical role?

If you have an interest in science and want to support young people in their learning then this could be the job for you. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and adaptable, committed to helping students by developing, preparing and maintaining facilities, equipment and materials, with an understanding of how to motivate students to learn.

You will provide practical and technical support to teachers delivering the Science curriculum. Preparing and maintaining resources to enable safe and engaging practical activities to be undertaken by staff and students. You will provide advice and guidance, including ensuring that COSHH regulations are adhered to at all times. 

This an ideal role for someone with a science background who is looking for a rewarding job where every day is different. This role would give you practical experience working with both students and teachers in a close-knit and friendly department.

‘The role of a science tech sounds a little daunting, but in essence you are simply supporting the teaching staff in delivering practical’s. It is great being part of the team. The students absolutely love their practical science lessons, it’s really rewarding knowing you are helping their understanding. There is also a wider community of technicians available for advice, plenty of role related training available and always the support and encouragement of the teaching staff – they won’t let you fail.’

This is an exciting time to join Foxford as we became part of Castle Phoenix Multi Academy Trust in October 2018. The Trust specialises in leadership and was founded in February 2013, on the success of the Caludon Castle Teaching School.
