  • Equality – We treat everyone fair and equally, specific to their needs, regardless of race, gender, disability, religion or belief, sexual orientation and age.
  • Authenticity – We act with integrity, openness, transparency.
  • People-centred – we value the contribution of every individual.

Our current CEO is moving onto new and exciting challenges, and we are therefore recruiting a new CEO to continue to build on our current successes and drive the organisation forward.

The successful candidate will need to have experience of working at the highest level, to have a proven track record of both operational and strategic leadership, with knowledge of the charitable sector, as well as the capacity to motivate and inspire.  Working with a committed group of Trustees you will be a capable, energetic, sensitive and creative leader.  Our new Chief Executive will resonate strongly with the ethos and mission of One Walsall and have an unrelenting focus on achieving a strong a vibrant voluntary sector in Walsall. They will have an up-to-date understanding and knowledge of current policy relating to models of care that the voluntary sector is part of and has so much to offer. They will also be familiar with the regulatory framework within which the Voluntary sector generally and One Walsall as a Charity itself needs to operate within.  There will also be a specific requirement to provide vision and direction for the organisation as the sector navigates its journey out of the pandemic, building on the current momentum of volunteer and community responses.

One Walsall has a small management team, so you need to be equally happy working alone and as an effective team player providing strong line management and support.  You will provide support to the active Board of Trustees and Board sub-Committees and will need to be comfortable leading and representing the organisation at key Borough-wide engagement processes and committees.
