Rugby is known all over the world as the birthplace of the game of rugby football. Located near the centre of England and stretching from Coventry to the west and to the county borders of Northamptonshire and Leicestershire in the east. The Borough has great access to key motorway networks and the rail services which provides quick alternative commuting options for Coventry, Birmingham and Northampton.
Here at Rugby Borough Council, we’re growing. In fact, we’re proud to be one of the fastest growing towns in the country, with some exciting commercial developments. This has all been made possible thanks to our strong financial position.
We now have an exciting opportunity for a Technical and Finance Manager. You could be an aspiring leader, who we will support in making the step-up or an experienced leader who has something new to bring to our Council and the Borough. If you are a positive, driven person who shares our ambition and vision, then we want to hear from you
The role will champion excellent management of financial resources, promoting efficiency, high performance, probity and excellent value for money services. The post holder will play a crucial role in the delivery of service transformation, driving efficiency and productivity improvements and also the optimisation of income opportunities, to contribute towards the achievement of financial self-sufficiency.
Although currently exclusively home working, following the impact of the pandemic Rugby Borough Council now offers an agile working policy which once implemented will enable a flexible approach to work and help to enhance the work life balance for all colleagues
