Gas Compliance Supervisor
£32,910 - £34,728 per annum
37 hours per week 

Our Housing Direct Works In House Team provides response repairs services to high standards of customer care for our tenants. Tenants expect their heating systems to be efficient and safe and to be repaired quickly when there is a fault. Our Gas Compliance Supervisor has a direct role in ensuring that these expectations are met.

We are seeking an experienced and suitably qualified person to deliver our contract to provide new heating installations, annual gas services and gas heating repairs. 

The post holder is expected to act proactively to ensure that all of the Council’s domestic premises have safe gas installations and that all compliance arrangements are in place. They will manage the contractual arrangements to ensure that work is delivered to a high standard of customer care and provide assurance that all gas installations are safe, managed effectively and repaired promptly so that tenants have safe and working facilities in place. 

Working closely with the Response Repairs Manager the Supervisor will ensure that the service is efficient, delivered to a good quality and customer focussed. 

Ensuring safe working practices are in place to meet all legal and regulatory requirements for health and safety is a critical duty of the role.

There is a requirement within the job to support the tradesmen to provide for an emergency service out of normal office hours.

Applicants must hold a valid certificate of competence to cover the area of gas work that they undertake as per the Nationally Accredited Certification scheme for Individual Gas Fitting Operatives (ACS) and be an accredited member of Gas safe gas scheme 

Appointment to this post will be conditional upon receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of criminal records via the Disclosure and Barring Service, before the appointment is confirmed.  A Basic check will be required. This will contain details of convictions and conditional cautions considered to be ‘unspent’ under the terms of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
