About Us and the Role
We’re looking for someone experienced in leading and implementing change from a people, culture and transformation perspective. You may currently work in transformation, service improvement or continuous improvement. The important bit for us is you have a strong understanding and track record of supporting people through significant change.
Our team is very small, working across the authority matrixing in the right skills and knowledge for the work we lead. Our work is varied, from short-term problem solving e.g. working alongside a project to mitigate significant risk through to leading strategically important areas of work e.g. taking strategy transforming this into delivery programmes.
Life in the team changes all the time, you’ll lead a mixed portfolio of responsibility which at times will see you working with frontline services or supporting the development of our organisational infrastructure or working as part of a transformation team or supporting the delivery of our recovery plan, sometimes your portfolio will include all of this. It’s important you are comfortable in a world that at times is intangible, where priorities change and you’re able to get a grasp of the key issues quickly.
You’ll need experience in shaping solutions, outcomes and benefits working collaboratively with people at all levels within the council. You’ll need to demonstrate what value you can add that contributes to the successful delivery of our ambitious Covid Recovery Plan and Council Plan.
