About the Role

Penk Valley Academy Trust are seeking an IT Network Manager to take forward its ongoing development of in-house expertise.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the IT Network Manager will manage a small but effective team, driving forward and realising the Trust’s IT strategy.

This exciting role will be a blend of on the ground operations and higher-level management with a key focus on translating strategic objectives to deliverables. We would expect the suitable candidate to lead from the front, not be afraid to get their hands dirty alongside supporting the team to deliver the objectives.

As a Trust we are part way through though a Microsoft Office 365 tenancy restructure, bringing all seven of our schools under one umbrella to unlock the potential of collaborative working and learning. As you may expect in the education sector, we have a number of legacy systems and third-party applications which combined with a recent move towards cloud technology ensures the role is constantly evolving. This is a particularly varied, interesting role and for the right candidate an environment to truly make an impact.

The standard working hours are 8.30am to 4.30pm, although there will need to be a degree of flexibility to support key events and facilitate maintenance so that it does not affect the school day.

About the Trust;

Penk Valley Academy is a local Multi Academy Trust including Marshbrook First School, Princefield First School, St John’s First School, St Mary & St Chad CE First School, Penkridge Middle School, Wolgarston High School and The Rural Enterprise Academy. The Trust’s vision is to take collective responsibility for ensuring that every child and young person in our Trust receives an excellent education, achieves high outcomes and realises their potential. All members of staff work incredibly hard to provide the very best education for every child in our care.

Employee benefits

As an employee you will be covered by our excellent well-being support programme through Schools Choice.

We take a collaborative view of learning where good practice is shared through structured INSET programmes within school and across the Trust. You will join a friendly team.

We use every opportunity to develop staff at all levels, we have a comprehensive CPD Programme and support staff at all levels to develop and experience opportunities to progress their careers.
