Residential Support Workers - South Solihull

We are looking for Residential Support Workers to join our hugely valued teams at our small community based SMBC Care Homes in Solihull, providing high quality care and support to adults with learning and physical disabilities.
Working closely with residents’ friends and families, our teams of Support Workers respond to individuals’ changing and at times complex care needs in order to help them lead a fulfilled and happy life. You will be supporting a diverse group of individuals with tailored care plans which will include personal care, administering of medication, dietary needs and social / recreational activities.
The health, safety and wellbeing of our staff and care home residents is our absolute priority at all times.
We have thorough protocols in place, ensure we work within Public Health England Guidance and provide relevant training and essential Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to all staff, to enable you to carry out your role safely.
We also ask that all of our team carry out regular COVID testing in line with government guidance.
Through our health and safety protocols and our commitment to providing high quality care, we have effectively managed Covid in our care homes throughout the pandemic.

You will need:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records.
- Experience of supporting and communicating with people with learning disabilities (either in a home or work setting)
- To be a team player and be able to adapt to changing needs.
The service works on a 24/7 365 basis, and therefore this role would work on a rota basis including evening/weekends/bank holiday and over the holiday periods. Most of our shifts are 12 hours in duration and additional overtime may be available. Posts will be predominantly on a days or nights shift pattern, however flexibility will be required for cover / meetings and training as required.
Our current vacancies across our South Solihull homes at Bills Lane, Creynolds Lane and Downing Close include:
1 x permanent 30 hours per week
1 x permanent 37 hours per week
1 x 12 month fixed term 28 hours per week
4 x 12 month fixed term nights post 37 hours per week between the hours of 7pm and 8.30am.
