We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised individual to join our busy revenues team as a Team Leader responsible for Enforcement.
You will manage a team in the effective enforcement and collection of outstanding debts to the authority. You will oversee the later stages of enforcement relating to Council Tax, Non- Domestic Rates, Housing Rents, Housing Benefit Overpayments and Sundry Debts.
The post holder will ensure that all available enforcement methods are considered and used as appropriate, including insolvency proceedings, charging orders, committal applications and applying for possession claims through to eviction where necessary.
The role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to deal with difficult situations along with the ability to learn, understand and apply complex processes.
The post holder will be required to deal with escalated customer enquiries and complaints by telephone, interview and composing non-standard letters.

The post holder must have ability to think logically, to consider and apply internal policies, case law and legislation to all decision making.
The successful applicant will be self-motivated and be able to work alone or as part of a team.
You will keep up to date with all relevant changes to legislation such as the Debt Respite Scheme and consider the impact of legacy benefits and the ongoing introduction of Universal Credit on the revenues service.
