About Us and The Role

Join our new team and help shape a child’s life

We are looking for family support workers to join a multi-disciplinary team to support foster families in caring for our children.

Foster carers play an essential parenting role in the lives of the children they are looking after, offering love, support, and nurture on a daily basis. We are committed to supporting our carers and children to ensure that they have timely and meaningful support.

There will be times when families face challenges that can result in the risk of placements breaking down and we want to do all that we can to prevent this.

Placement stability is essential for our children and our carers may need immediate and planned support when things feel harder than usual.

Who are we looking for…. Family Support Workers who are restorative in their practice and can support children to remain with their foster carers, or if a move is essential, it is a planned and support is offered during the child’s transition to another foster carer or a family member.   Your role will also involve helping children step down from residential.

We want to provide practical, emotional and coaching support to children and their carers and support families through direct work intervention, incorporating holistic support from multi agencies to stabilise and support families. We need individuals who can be flexible, who are creative, imaginative in offering support packages.

If you share our passion, have energy, can form good relationships with both children and carers we would love to hear from you.

These are one-year fixed term roles. If you’re an existing employee and want to be considered on a secondment basis, please discuss with your Line Manager before applying.
