Actual Salary:  £32,234 - £34,728

Hours:  37 hours per week

 

A rare opportunity has arisen to join a well-established and experienced adult social work team that specialises in Leaning Disability and Transition. We are looking for a passionate, driven, emotionally intelligent and critically reflective practitioner to join us.

 

The post holder will need to be a registered Social Worker and must be able to meet the essential requirements of the job description which generally include the assessment and care management of clients within the adult social care sector in line with The Care Act principles and with adherence to national and local policies and procedures.

 

The individual must be passionate about supporting people with learning disabilities, their families and carers to reach their potential by using a strengths-based approach and identifying community and personal assets which can enrich their lives. Safeguarding is pivotal in this role and therefore applicants must be confident in applying the legislative framework that help people to remain safe at home and in the community.

 

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all our employees and volunteers to share this commitment.  This position is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the successful applicant will be subject to a criminal record check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
