About Us

Warwickshire County Council’s Registration Service is part of the Resources Group. We are committed to excellent customer service and are always looking for ways to improve the way we do things to meet the needs of the people of Warwickshire and beyond.

As well as registering births, deaths and stillbirths, taking notices of marriage and issuing copy certificates we conduct around 2,500 ceremonies a year across Warwickshire in 90 excellent venues approved by Warwickshire County Council.

We’re looking for a Registration Assistant.

About the Role

The post will provide reception and administrative support to the Register Office in Nuneaton.

The contracted post will be a fixed 7 hours day worked on a Friday - based in the Nuneaton office. The nature of the work that we carry out at Warwickshire Registration Service requires this post to be flexible in the hours and days worked as in addition to the contracted day we require further cover at times when staffing levels are low, the post would therefore suit applicants with the flexibility to be available Monday to Friday.

Any additional working days are arranged in advance with the exception of sickness cover which may be requested at short notice.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role you will need good administrative and customer service experience as well as a good standard of education. It’s important you have good communication skills both verbal and written with clear and neat handwriting and are able to work accurately with excellent attention to detail. You will be used to working within a team as well as on your own initiative; be resilient, flexible and able to work with people and confidential information with tact and diplomacy. In addition, it’s important you have good planning and organising skills, and are able to manage your time effectively and work under pressure. Good IT skills and willingness to attend relevant training courses are also required.
