Environmental Health COVID-19 Officer

£24,491 - £27,041 per annum
37 hours per week
Temporary contract until 31st March 2023
We require an enthusiastic EH Covid-19 Officer to join our busy Environmental Health service dealing with the local Covid-19 response. You will provide a visible presence on the high street and more widely within the borough, helping local business and the public to understand and apply the latest COVID-19 guidelines. You will also provide the first response to enquiries/complaints from concerned residents and the local business community.
You will need a good knowledge of the Covid Secure guidelines, although full training will be provided. You will also need excellent communication and customer service skills as you will spend most of the day interacting with businesses and members of the public. An ability to solve problems will also be required along with strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
Within a small team it is essential that you have the ability to develop good working relationships with colleagues and be able to work well both within a team and on your own initiative. You must have a flexible approach to work and be able to work well under pressure and manage your own workload.
