About us and The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an adaptable and self-motivated person to join the Education Entitlement Team with Education Services.
You will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Educational Entitlement Team, enabling the Authority to achieve its key priorities for vulnerable children and young people specifically those at risk of or who have been permanently excluded from school. We are a busy team who work with other key teams within the local authority as well as schools, external agencies and providers of Alternative Provision.
You should be a strong communicator who is self-motivated, and solution focused. You will need a good standard of education, excellent organisational and planning skills with the capacity to prioritise and complete multiple tasks to agreed timescales. You will be able to produce work to a high standard and are confident using a range of IT platforms including Excel and databases. Good written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively and clearly to a range of people is essential as is your ability to work as part of a team. Experience of accounting for large sums of money and working with the Finance team.
You will have previous experience of the operational delivery of business processes and policies, ideally within an educational environment and a demonstrated capability for problem solving.
We are looking for people with a flexible, can do attitude and with the ability to deal with high volumes of varied activities without being deterred.

The roles are support for county wide work so travel may occasionally be required.
