CUSTOMER SERVICE SPECIALIST ADVISOR
We require a Customer Service Specialist Advisor within the Council's Customer Service/Contact Centre 'Lichfield Connects'. The team performs a key role in enabling Lichfield District Council to deliver on its promise to improve lives by delivering great services to the residents of Lichfield.
Working under the general supervision of the Interim Contact Centre Manager, this is a specialist role and will involve a high degree of public contact, focusing on council tax, business rates and benefit enquiries, by telephone, face to face, correspondence and email. Taking payments using the corporate e-payment system, entering information on to the council tax and benefits system, scanning and indexing of documents using the corporate document management system and using other relevant back office systems to deliver excellent customer services and responding to customer enquiries at first point of contact.
You will be a strong team player and have extensive relevant knowledge and previous experiences of working in a Local Government Customer Service/Contact Centre. Excellent communication and listening skills are a must, together with the ability to confidently deal with people at all levels, including outside specialist agencies. Assertive and calm under pressure, you will be able to demonstrate the Council's Core Values: Put customers first, Innovate and Improve, and Have respect for everyone.
