Warwickshire County Council’s Registration Service is part of the Resources Group. We are committed to excellent customer service and are always looking for ways to improve the way we do things to meet the needs of the people of Warwickshire and beyond. 

As well as registering births, deaths and stillbirths, taking notices of marriage / civil partnership and issuing copy certificates we conduct around 2,500 ceremonies a year across Warwickshire in 90 excellent venues approved by Warwickshire County Council. 

We’re looking for an experienced Deputy Superintendent Registrar to join us in our Nuneaton Registration Office. 

 
About the Role

To ensure all relevant registration functions are performed in accordance with current statute, regulation, and instruction. Working primarily within a team in Nuneaton Registration Office, you will be office based and dealing with the legal preliminaries for ceremonies and the associated paperwork. You will be responsible for handling fees and supporting and guiding couples through their special day. 

The contracted role will be 14.8 hours per week worked over 2 fixed days - currently Thursday Friday.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role you will need experience as a Deputy Superintendent Registrar. You will be used to working within a team as well as on your own initiative; be resilient, flexible and able to work with people and confidential information with tact and diplomacy. In addition, it’s important you have good planning and organising skills, and are able to manage your time effectively and work under pressure. Good IT skills, the ability to travel throughout the county and willing to attend relevant training courses are also required.
