Job Details

Worcester City Council have three temporary positions available, with a contract end date of November 2022 within the Community Engagement team for Worcester City Council. We are hoping for a start date of September 2021! We are looking for someone who has experience of promoting services and encouraging participation through working with the community and local organisations.

You will organize and supervise campaigns in Worcester promoting the opportunity for residents to volunteer and make a difference in their community.  To enable residents to carry out neighbourhood cleansing, public open green space maintenance and run events and activities.  You will support third party organisations and groups to run events and activities on Worcester City Council land, ensuring events are planned and run with appropriate safety measures in place.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, hard working and able to work unsupervised and within a team.  You will be able to link with partner organisations and communicate with members of the public.  We would prefer candidates with knowledge/experience of our services, working with the community and to hold a current first aid certificate and full driving licence.

You will be required to pass a basic disclosure check before commencing work.  If you disclose any information you will be treated fairly and will not be discriminated against.
