We are recruiting for a full time CCTV Operator for up to 12 months to cover maternity leave.

Do you have experience in public space CCTV surveillance?  Do you have a current SIA CCTV Front Line licence?  Do you have experience of working with policing partners to reduce crime and disorder?  If so, this could be an exciting opportunity for you to join our team and be the eyes on the ground helping to protect the public.

We are looking for a professional licensed CCTV Operator to join our team.  The team provide quality public space CCTV surveillance which is accredited to British Standard BS7958 and the Surveillance Camera Commissioner certification.

Our new CCTV control room has the latest camera technology and operating systems.  Your duties will include monitoring over 100 public space CCTV cameras located in 8 towns throughout Stratford District.  You will be working alongside community safety partner organisations and will deal with radio communication, CCTV evidence capture and production and preparation of legal documentation.  You will be part of the wider Community Safety team and partnership working to prevent and reduce crime and disorder.

Our CCTV service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on a shift system and includes periods of lone working. The shift pattern includes 4 shifts on duty (2 day shifts and 2 night shifts) followed by 4 shifts off duty.  Each shift period is 12 hours.  Over a 10 week shift cycle you will work an average of 37 hours per week.

Excellent observation and communication skills, both verbal and written, IT skills and the ability to recall information accurately and maintain confidentiality are essential.  Full training will be given on the CCTV operating system ‘Synectics’.

A current Security Industry Authority (SIA) Front Line Licence for a CCTV Operator is required, along with experience in a public space surveillance environment.

Successful applicants will be subject to criminal record, employment and credit checks.
