University of Wolverhampton Students’ Union represents and supports around 22,000 students across three main campuses. Many have overcome multiple systemic barriers simply to get to university. This often means that they require support and guidance to get the most from their time at university and achieve their potential when they leave. This has been compounded by the Coronavirus pandemic, so never has it been more important to provide effective support.
The SU has recently completed an exciting three year Strategic Plan which has involved extensive student engagement. The key themes are about creating a sense of community, promoting opportunities, improving well-being and strengthening student voice.
This post is critical to the successful delivery of the Strategic Plan. You will be responsible for creating and developing new societies, developing and delivering a wide range of projects to empower students and help them to develop skills that will take them forward confidently into the labour market.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting students, have experience of working with volunteers, organising events and have project management experience.
The Opportunities Coordinator will promote student engagement/student empowerment through the creation and development of societies, well-being initiatives and wider student engagement at the University of Wolverhampton.
