University of Wolverhampton Students’ Union represents and supports around 22,000 students across three main campuses. Many have overcome multiple systemic barriers simply to get to university. This often means that they require support and guidance to get the most from their time at university and achieve their potential when they leave. This has been compounded by the Coronavirus pandemic, so never has it been more important to provide effective support.
The SU has recently completed an exciting three year Strategic Plan which has involved extensive student engagement. The key themes are about creating a sense of community, promoting opportunities, improving well-being and strengthening student voice.
This post is critical to the successful implementation of the Strategic Plan. You will be responsible for the operational delivery of an effective marketing and communications service, brand awareness writing for digital and print and overseeing the SU’s social media activity, analysing and reporting on campaign successes.
The ideal candidate will be creative and innovative and will play a key role in the operational delivery of the Union’s marketing and communications activities and lead on communicating our messages, writing for web, social media and physical marketing channels.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting and developing our student engagement activity.
