At Caldmore Primary Academy, we are looking for a Safeguarding Officer/Pastoral Lead who is passionate about supporting children and their families.  This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to join the Caldmore Primary Academy safeguarding team.  In this key role, you will support vulnerable students and their families where specific safeguarding, policing, prevent of child protection issues have been identified.  This will involve working with young people who have complex needs and looked after pupils.

The ideal candidate will be energetic and resilient.  They will be understanding, responsive and committed to inspiring and motivating children to reach their full potential and aspirations.

We are looking for a full time Safeguarding Officer and Deputy DSL who will share the responsibility for safeguarding and child protection across the school. The DDSL will take part in strategy discussions and inter-agency meetings and contribute to the assessment of children.  They will advise and support other staff members on child protection and safeguarding matters and liaise with relevant agencies such as the local authority and police.

The DDSL will support the Pupil Welfare Manager with school attendance, working with pupils and their families playing a valuable role in supporting pupils to maximise their attendance and fulfil their personal, social and academic achievement.
