Permanent Business Support positions: 

2 full-time (36.5 hours) posts - one supporting our front-line Streetscene Waste Service function and one supporting either City Operations or the City Housing Directorate central Business Support functions.

1 part-time post (18:25 hours) supporting our front-line Streetscene function.

1 part-time post (21.90 hours) supporting our front-line Regulation and Enforcement function.

We are looking for enthusiastic and flexible individuals to undertake the role of Business Support Officer supporting either City Operations or City Housing Directorates.

As a Business Support Officer, you will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective and high-quality service supporting the respective service areas in the Directorates. You will undertake a range of administrative activities, from processing information, maintaining records; ordering equipment; ensuring the smooth running of office functions; setting up and supporting meetings, including taking notes or minutes; analysing and reporting on information and data; responding to FOI's and SAR's. 

We are looking for someone who is a pro-active team player, with the ability to work to deadlines and able to manage conflicting priorities and competing demands. You will work flexibly and as part of a team to provide continuity of service, you will have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation and have strong skills in working productively in a changing and demanding environment.  You are confident in all office packages and high levels of experience and in general to be able to learn new systems and processes quickly.

Flexibility with regards to working hours and location is essential. In line with COVID-19 restrictions the role is currently being delivered from home.  This is currently under review, but it is expected that we will continue to offer flexibility for home working with attendance at a Council Building when necessary.  This could be at any of the Council Administration Buildings within the City.
