We have a fantastic opportunity for an insightful, experienced and highly organised EHCP Manager to join our SEN and Inclusion team. Serving children and young people with SEND and their parents and carers is at the heart of what we do, and we're embarked on an exciting period of strategic improvement and development. The successful candidate will have responsibility for ensuring the SEN team meets their responsibilities under the Childrens and Families Act, 2014 and SEN Code of Practice 2015, providing a service of the highest standards which improves outcomes for children and young people with EHCP’s.

The role includes work at an operational level as well as a strategic level with opportunities to develop and influence approaches and pathways for children and young people with SEN. Responsible for a team of SEN Casework Officers, you will oversee the SEN statutory services and the EHC plan pathway, working with your team and promoting collaborative work across the teams in Education, Social Care, Health, Parent Carer Forum and other partners and stakeholders.

  • You are experienced, solutions-focussed, able to identify what works and implement change to improve quality and outcomes, with a demonstrable understanding of the SEN Code of Practice and the Children and Families Act 2014 in relation to SEN;
  • You have the highest of ambitions for children and young people with SEN and their families;
  • You would like to make a difference and improve outcomes for children and young people with SEN within a dynamic Local Authority;
  • You want to feel energised about coming to work and feel valued for who you are and what you bring.
