This is an exciting opportunity to join Walsall Council to provide young people and adults with training and employment to ensure they get the best start to their working lives.
The role is funded through the new Black Country Impact programme which addresses the barriers faced by unemployed individuals aged 16-29 years. It supports beneficiaries to secure positive outcomes including employment, apprenticeships, training and further education. Impact’s individualised approach and alternative delivery structures provides flexible personalised learning and support that addresses the range of personal and skills needs of young adults.
We are looking for an experienced professional to provide advice, guidance and information to young people and adults registered with the Impact programme, in need of targeted support on learning, work and personal development opportunities and support to access these. You will be expected to manage a caseload of beneficiaries, which includes recording information on progress and monitoring outcomes to ensure progression. You will be required to comply with BC Impact programmes policies and procedures.
You will be required to network with other professionals and advisers to understand their services and role in supporting beneficiaries and to develop appropriate links.
You will be responsible for the development of your own performance, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant services, active engagement strategy and tools to contribute to ongoing professional development.
The position is a two year fixed term contract to 31st July 2023
