Cranstoun is a charity empowering people to live healthy, safe and happy lives. Our skilled and compassionate teams work with service users, families and communities, helping them to make positive changes. We offer a wide range of services across England, including community-based outreach, treatment and recovery, detox, supported housing, domestic abuse, and specialist services for young people and families and carers. We’ve been making a difference since 1969 by combining our expertise with innovative approaches, and putting people at the heart of what we do.
A new and exciting opportunity has arisen to deliver our specialist intervention, Men and Masculinities, in Herefordshire & Worcestershire. Men and Masculinities is a behaviour change programme for those who perpetrate abusive behaviours in their relationships.
We are looking for motivated practitioners who either have experience of working with Domestic Abuse or a related area, or would like to develop skills in this area. Experience of working on behaviour change programmes, delivering training and community work would be advantageous.
Men and masculinities is a universal programme, offering a focused response to perpetration of domestic abuse. This project will be a partnership between West Mercia Womens Aid and the police and crime commissioner. We will also work with communities and professionals to raise awareness of the issues, offer effective interventions as well as challenging values and attitudes that create conducive environments for domestic abuse to continue.
Location delivery is across the Herefordshire & Worcestershire with some online delivery. There will also be travel within the county as this is an outreach-based delivery model. Exact locations within the counties are still to be determined
The postholder will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check against relevant barred lists.
