Assistant Cook
Starting September 2021
Grade 2, Spinal Point 2-3, Term Time Only, starting at £4,117 to £4,199 per annum (pending pay review). 10 hours per week.
Codsall Community High School are looking to appoint an Assistant Cook.
To assist in the provision of food and beverages. Duties include: preparation of food and beverages, cooking of meals, transporting of food, setting up and clearing away, washing up, serving and till duties, cleaning duties.
- Preparation of food and beverages.
- Cooking of meals.
- Transporting of food.
- Setting up and clearing away when required.
- Washing up.
- Cleaning duties including kitchen, dining areas, furniture and equipment when required.
- May be required to sell minor consumables.
- May be required to fill and clean vending machines.
- Maintain safe and hygienic working practices at all times.
- Report any defects to premises or equipment breakdown or repairs to senior staff.
Professional Accountabilities
The post holder is required to be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person. In addition, you are to contribute to the achievement of the school’s objectives through:

- Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young persons you are responsible for or come into contact with.

- Personally, accountable for delivering services efficiently, efficiently within budget and to implement any approved savings and investment allocated to the service area.
People Management
- To comply and engage with people management policies and processes
- Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the school.
- Establish constructive relationships and communicate with other agencies/professionals.
- Attend and participate in regular meetings.
- Participate in training and other learning activities and performance development as required.
- Recognise own strengths, areas of expertise and use these to advise and support others.
