Finance Assistant

The Role

We are looking to appoint an experienced professional and confident individual to join the Finance Department. The person appointed will be responsible for the processing of purchase orders and purchase invoices. They will also take responsibility for raising sales invoices for lettings and administration of income and expenditure including parent pay, school trips, credit cards and petty cash. They will also be required to undertake a variety of general administration tasks together with ad hoc school administration during the school holidays.

Key Requirements

Applicants must be able to deal sensitively with matters of confidence whilst following the School Child Protection policy, for which training will be given.

Knowledge of basic financial procedures, policies and accounting code structures.

Good numerical ability and data entry skills and experience of utilising a computerised financial system.

Good working knowledge of Excel including formatting, calculations and formulas.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with staff members at all levels
