HR Advisor (Schools Team) - ref RT06621
Salary: (G7) 26 hours per week (Term Time, plus 10 days) - £23,765 to £27,551 per annum (actual salary)
We have an exciting opportunity for a HR professional to join our friendly and dedicated HR Schools support team.
We are seeking an HR Advisor to support schools on the practical application of HR procedures and policies particularly in relation to management of absence processes.
In addition, the role involves preparation and delivery of management of absence training to school staff, Headteachers and Principals, therefore, experience of working with schools which would be an advantage.
Travel will be required to undertake home visits and meetings at schools. There will also be occasional evening work.
Reporting to the HR Manager, you will have or be studying for a Level 5 CIPD qualification or have substantial experience in a relevant setting. Together with excellent IT and communication skills, you should also have GCSE (or equivalent) at Grade C or above in English and Maths.
As part of this role, the successful applicant should share a commitment in making a difference to meet / help reduce overall sickness targets. Confidence in providing strong advice and guidance to managers and Trade Unions is essential as is an understanding of employment law and its application.
