About Us

Warwickshire Young Carers is here to help improve the lives of Young Carers across Warwickshire by offering free and confidential support.

We work with young carers from the age of 6 upwards and aim to help make a difference to their lives by encouraging them to take time out to relax, take a break and to realise their own dreams.

We don’t have all the answers, but we will try to find them for any Young Carers who come to us for help or support.

Warwickshire Young Carers is an independent local charity that tailors the help, support and advice we offer to the individual needs of each Young Carer.

Do you have what it takes to organise and plan activities and groups for Young Carers?

This is a new and exciting post for the organisation and as Activities Lead you will be required to carry out a range of tasks to effectively support the planning, coordination and delivery and day to day running of groups and activities, create engaging and fun activities for young carers to participate in. You will also be responsible for supporting the young carers and young adult carers in accessing the activities (online and face to face). This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a supportive, creative and proactive team, servicing families with complex needs whilst supporting the welfare and safeguarding of young carers. If you're a lateral thinker who can work flexibly and welcomes a challenge, we’d like to hear from you.

Here at Warwickshire Young Carers, we pride ourselves on the work we do and range of services we offer to support young carers and their families across the county.

You will be required to assess, plan and review the needs of groups of young carers alongside other team members, in order to ensure that their needs are understood, and that they are accessing groups and activities that they need, want and will benefit from. Confidence in planning and delivering direct work with young carers, capturing their voices and experiences and that of their families is essential to the role.

You will help to have the voices of young carers heard, provide a break from and reduce inappropriate caring responsibilities and be the support that many are lacking in. If you would like to make a difference in the lives of young carers and their families across Warwickshire, we would love to hear from you!
