Willows Early Years Practitioner (2 and 3 year old provision)

We are looking to appoint an early years’ practitioner to work as part of our friendly and hardworking team initially to support in our Willows setting which provides for our 2 and 3 year olds within Early Years. This role may also require working across our Early Years’ provision supporting in Nursery for some sessions.

Our support staff team is integral to the school’s vision to ensure that all children achieve their full potential in all aspects of school life.  You would be part of our drive to successfully implement the new Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, ensuring a smooth transition across our range of age groups whereby we achieve an outstanding quality of education for every child.

Our successful candidate will be a motivated professional who will inspire and enthuse our children and support them in making good progress in their learning and social/emotional development.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience of working with children across the primary age range
  • Has a desire to further develop their skills
  • Has excellent literacy and numeracy skills
  • Can support senior management in providing high quality childcare and education
  • Can take responsibility for a group of key children and take responsibility for observing, planning, tracking and evaluating their learning and development and setting individual targets
  • Will work in respectful partnership with parents/carers when supporting children in their learning and development
  • Has a sound knowledge of behaviour management and SEND
  • Is approachable and resilient
